SOAP Envelope Builder
Compose SOAP 1.1 or 1.2 envelope XML from namespace URI, operation name, and body payload for integration tests.
Compose SOAP 1.1 and 1.2 envelope XML
SOAP services wrap operation payloads inside an Envelope and Body. Version
1.1 uses the http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ namespace; version
1.2 uses http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope/. Integration tests and
manual debugging often start with a minimal envelope before you add WS-Security or custom headers.
Enter the target namespace URI, operation element name, optional namespace prefix, and inner body XML. The builder emits a well-formed envelope you can paste into Postman, SoapUI, or your HTTP client. Pair it with the SOAPAction Header Builder for correct HTTP headers.
Typical workflow
- Pick SOAP 1.1 or 1.2 to match the WSDL or endpoint documentation.
- Set the service namespace and operation from the WSDL
portTypedefinition. - Paste child elements (parameters) inside the operation wrapper.
- Beautify or validate the result with the SOAP Formatter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this add WS-Security or SAML headers?
No. It creates an empty Header (SOAP 1.1) or omits optional headers beyond the
default skeleton. Add security tokens manually after the envelope is generated.
Can I wrap arbitrary XML in the body?
Yes. Inner body XML is inserted verbatim inside the operation element, so you control namespaces and child tags.
Is my payload sent to a server?
No. Envelope construction runs entirely in the browser; nothing is uploaded.
