How Time Addition Works

Adding times together follows the same principles as regular addition, except that you need to carry over values when they exceed 60. For example, adding 45 seconds and 30 seconds gives you 75 seconds, which is 1 minute and 15 seconds. Similarly, 90 minutes equals 1 hour and 30 minutes.
