Edit SVG path d attributes with a live preview
Inline icons and illustrations store geometry in the SVG path element’s
d attribute using commands such as M (moveto), L (line),
C (cubic Bézier), and Z (close). Designers exporting from Figma or
Illustrator often need to nudge anchors or convert relative commands to absolute coordinates.
This editor renders the path, lists each command, and lets you drag anchor points while copying
the updated d string.
Editing workflow
- Paste an existing
dattribute or start from the sample heart-like curve. - Use To absolute to expand relative commands, Round coords to trim decimals, or Normalize to tidy spacing.
- Drag blue anchor handles in the preview for supported M, L, and cubic end points.
- Copy the output path back into your SVG or React component.
For path cleanup without visual editing, try the SVG Path Rounder or SVG Path Optimizer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which path commands can I drag?
Dragging updates moveto, lineto, and cubic Bézier end points after converting the path to absolute coordinates. Arc (A) commands are listed but not yet draggable.
What does “To absolute” do?
Lowercase relative commands (for example c) are rewritten using uppercase absolute coordinates so each number is a canvas X/Y position.
Is my artwork uploaded?
No. Parsing and preview run entirely in the browser; only the path string you paste is processed.
Can I import a full SVG file?
Paste the d value from a <path> element. Full SVG upload may be added later; for whole-file optimization use the SVG Path Optimizer.
