SVG Path Rounder
Round numeric coordinates in SVG path d attributes to shrink file size while keeping shapes readable.
Reduce SVG path precision without breaking shapes
Design tools export paths with excessive fractional digits. Rounding coordinates in the
d attribute trims file size and makes diffs readable while keeping curves
visually identical at typical icon scales.
How rounding works
Every numeric token in the path string is rounded to your chosen decimal places. Command
letters (M, L, C, and so on) are left untouched.
Trailing zeros after the decimal point are removed to save bytes.
For deeper optimization (merging points, removing metadata), use the SVG Path Optimizer or SVG to Base64 Converter when embedding icons in CSS.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many decimal places should I use?
Icons at 24–32 px often look identical at 1–2 decimal places. Large illustrations may need 3–4. Preview in your target size before publishing.
Does this rewrite the whole SVG file?
Paste only the d attribute value. Copy the rounded path back into
your markup or sprite sheet.
Are relative path commands supported?
Yes. Lowercase relative commands are preserved; only numeric tokens change.
