1. Criss-Cross Lacing (Standard)
In standard criss-cross lacing, the lace goes straight across the bottom eyelets and then crosses diagonally to the top. The diagonal distance between adjacent eyelets is calculated using the Pythagorean theorem: $D = \sqrt{H^2 + V^2}$. The total minimum length formula is:

2. Straight European Lacing
In European straight lacing, the lace runs horizontally on the outside and diagonally on the inside. The diagonal segments connect adjacent levels. The formula is:

3. Straight Bar Lacing (Fashion)
