Convert a JSON array of objects to CSV

APIs and log exporters often return a JSON array of homogeneous objects. This converter turns that array into spreadsheet-ready CSV with optional dot-notation flattening for nested fields, configurable delimiters (comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe), and row counts before you download. Processing is local; your JSON never leaves the tab.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste a JSON array such as [{"id":1,"name":"Ada"}].
  2. Choose flatten or explode mode for nested arrays.
  3. Pick a delimiter suited to Excel or Google Sheets regional settings.
  4. Copy or download the CSV output.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between flatten and explode?

Flatten keeps nested objects as dotted column names and stores arrays as JSON strings. Explode duplicates rows so each array element gets its own line where possible.

Why use semicolon delimiters?

European Excel locales expect semicolon-separated files. Matching the delimiter to your spreadsheet locale prevents columns from merging into one cell.

Does the tool accept a single JSON object?

No. The input must be an array. Wrap a lone object as a one-element array if needed.
