PDF Splitter
Extract selected PDF pages or split documents into ranges and fixed-size groups privately in your browser.
Split a PDF into the pages you need
Extract a short section from a report, separate a scanned packet, or divide a document into smaller files. This PDF splitter processes your document locally in your browser. The PDF file is not uploaded to a server.
How to split PDF pages
- Choose an unlocked PDF, up to 25 MB and 200 pages.
- Select a split mode and check the live output preview.
- Download the extracted PDF or a ZIP containing each split document.
Choose the right split mode
- Extract selected pages: select the pages to retain in a single PDF, in their original order. Deselect pages you want to remove.
- Split by ranges: enter comma-separated groups, such as 2-4, 7, 9-11. Each group becomes a separate PDF inside a ZIP.
- Split every N pages: divide the document into fixed-size groups. A 13-page document split every 5 pages produces files with 5, 5, and 3 pages.
Quality, privacy, and document limits
Pages are copied without rasterizing them, so text and graphics retain their original appearance. Splitting does not promise smaller total file size: shared fonts or images may be included in multiple output files. Complex form fields, bookmarks, and digital signatures may not survive page extraction. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded documents.
Files and previews remain in your current browser session. Password-protected documents must first be unlocked using software you trust. Large or unusually complex PDFs may exceed your browser's available memory even within the stated limits.
To combine sections again, use the PDF Merger. For smaller attachments, try the PDF Compressor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I extract just one page?
Yes. Choose Extract selected pages, deselect all pages, and select the page you need before downloading.
How do I split every page into a separate PDF?
Choose Split every N pages and set Pages per file to 1. Download the ZIP containing one PDF per page.
Can page ranges overlap?
Yes. Each comma-separated range creates an independent file, so a page can appear in more than one output document.
Does this upload my PDF?
No. PDF reading, previewing, page copying, and ZIP creation happen in your browser.
Will splitting preserve signatures and forms?
Do not rely on it for signed or interactive documents. Page extraction can invalidate signatures and may omit document-level features. Keep the original.
