Frequently Asked Questions
Will the patch always be the smallest possible diff?
The library produces a valid RFC 6902 sequence. Ordering may differ from hand-written patches, but applying it to the original document reproduces your target JSON.
Can I diff arrays with reordered items?
Reordered arrays may produce replace/remove/add operations rather than move operations. Review the patch before shipping it to production APIs.
