What is Prandtl Number?

The Prandtl number (Pr) is a dimensionless quantity that relates the rate of momentum diffusion to the rate of thermal diffusion in a fluid. It is defined as the ratio of kinematic viscosity (ν) to thermal diffusivity (α).
