How column volume is calculated
Volume depends on the column shape. For a round column with diameter $d$ and height $h$:
$$V = \pi \times \left(\frac{d}{2}\right)^2 \times h$$
For a square column with side $s$: $V = s^2 \times h$. For a rectangle: $V = \text{width} \times \text{length} \times h$. Multiply by the number of columns and add a waste allowance for spillage.
