WSDL to Sample SOAP

Pick a WSDL operation and generate a starter SOAP envelope with namespaces and soapAction hints in your browser.

Generate starter SOAP envelopes from WSDL

A Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file lists SOAP operations, message parts, bindings, and service endpoints. This tool reads the WSDL you paste, lets you pick an operation, and emits a sample SOAP 1.1 envelope with the correct targetNamespace prefix and body element name inferred from the input message.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste a complete WSDL document into the XML editor.
  2. Choose the operation you want to call from the dropdown.
  3. Copy the generated envelope and replace the placeholder comment with real field values from your XSD.
  4. Use the listed soapAction and endpoint URL when configuring HTTP clients or the SOAP Request Debugger.

Parsing happens entirely in your browser with fast-xml-parser. No WSDL upload or outbound network request is made. Pair this with the WSDL Operation Explorer when you need a table of every operation before generating payloads.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fill in XSD fields automatically?

No. It names the SOAP body element from the WSDL message part but leaves a comment where you should add fields defined in your XML Schema or sample data.

Which SOAP version is used?

The envelope uses the common SOAP 1.1 namespace (http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/). Many document/literal services accept this shape even when bindings reference SOAP 1.1 HTTP transport.

Can I test the request against a live endpoint here?

This page only builds XML. Send the envelope with your HTTP client or the SOAP Request Debugger on this site.
