Query Params Diff

Diff query strings from two URLs to see added, removed, changed, and unchanged parameters.

O M T

Compare query strings from two URLs

Marketing links, A/B tests, and API clients often change only the query portion of a URL while the path stays the same. This diff tool extracts parameters from two full URLs or raw query strings, then classifies each key as added, removed, changed, or unchanged. Repeated keys (for example tag=a&tag=b) are compared as multi-value lists.

When to use it

  • Verify that a redirect preserved tracking parameters.
  • Spot pagination or sort changes between staging and production links.
  • Audit UTM or affiliate query changes before publishing campaigns.

Parse individual strings with the Query String Parser, or build query objects from JSON using JSON to Query String.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I paste only the query string without a host?

Yes. Paste values like page=2&sort=desc or include a leading ?. Full URLs with https:// are also supported.

How are duplicate keys handled?

The tool uses the same rules as URLSearchParams: multiple values for one key are kept in order and compared as a list.

Is data sent to a server?

No. Comparison runs entirely in your browser; URLs are not uploaded or logged.
