How This Pancake Recipe Calculator Works

Pancake batter scales from a simple egg-based ratio. Enter guests and servings, or start from the eggs you already have. The tool also adjusts for pan size and switches between fluffy pancakes and thinner crepes with extra milk. Related tools: Cake Serving Calculator and Cooking Measurement Converter.

Base Ratio Per Egg

For fluffy pancakes: about 50 g flour, 150 ml milk, 7.5 ml oil, 2.5 g baking powder, and a pinch of salt per egg. For crepes, milk increases by about 40% and baking powder is omitted.

Pan Size Adjustment

A 25 cm pan is the reference size. Larger pans yield more pancakes per batch of batter because surface area grows with the square of the diameter.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pancakes does one egg make?

On a medium 25 cm pan, one egg of batter usually makes about four pancakes. Larger pans increase that count.

What is the difference between pancakes and crepes here?

Crepes use more milk for a thinner batter and skip baking powder so the result stays flat and delicate.

Can I plan backward from eggs?

Yes. Switch to eggs-on-hand mode and the calculator scales flour, milk, and oil from the eggs you enter.

Are calorie estimates exact?

No. They are rough breakfast estimates based on a typical pancake serving and do not include toppings.
