What Is K/D Ratio?
Kill/death ratio (K/D) compares eliminations to deaths in competitive games. A ratio above 1.0 means more kills than deaths. It is a quick snapshot of fragging efficiency over a match or career.
K/D Formulas
$$\text{K/D} = \frac{\text{Kills}}{\text{Deaths}}$$Kills needed for a target ratio (no new deaths):
$$\text{Kills needed} = (\text{Target K/D} \times \text{Deaths}) - \text{Kills}$$Deaths per kill is the inverse:
$$\text{Deaths per kill} = \frac{\text{Deaths}}{\text{Kills}}$$Example: 120 kills and 80 deaths gives K/D = 1.5.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good K/D ratio?
Above 1.0 is positive. In skilled lobbies, 1.5 to 2.0 is strong. Pros often exceed 2.0, but averages vary by game mode and rank.
What if I have zero deaths?
K/D is undefined when deaths are zero. The calculator shows infinity because any positive kill count with no deaths is a perfect ratio.
How many kills do I need for 2.0 K/D?
Multiply deaths by 2, then subtract current kills. With 80 deaths you need 160 total kills. If you already have 120, you need 40 more.
Is K/D the same as KDA?
No. KDA includes assists in the numerator: (kills + assists) / deaths. K/D counts kills only.
What is deaths per kill?
It is deaths divided by kills. A value of 0.5 means you die once for every two kills. Lower is better.
