HAR to cURL
Parse HAR capture JSON and generate equivalent cURL commands for debugging API calls in your browser.
Turn HAR captures into cURL commands
The HTTP Archive (HAR) format stores browser or proxy traffic as JSON. Developers replay
failing API calls by converting each log.entries[].request block into a
cURL one-liner with method, headers, and body preserved.
Workflow
- Export a HAR from Chrome DevTools, Firefox, or Charles Proxy.
- Paste the JSON (or a single entry object) into the editor.
- Pick one entry index or export every request.
- Copy the generated shell command for terminal or ticket reproduction.
Pair with cURL to PHP or HTTP Message Parser for deeper inspection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which headers are omitted?
Content-Length, Host, and HTTP/2 pseudo-headers (:method, :path, :scheme) are skipped because cURL sets them automatically.
Can I paste one entry instead of a full HAR?
Yes. JSON objects that contain a top-level request field are treated as a single entry.
Where does parsing happen?
JSON parsing and string building run entirely in your browser; HAR files are not uploaded.
