When a pass does not cover every trip, the remaining trips are added as single fares to give you the most accurate comparison.

For example, if you are visiting Berlin for 10 days and plan 4 trips per day, a weekly pass plus a few daily tickets may be cheaper than buying 40 individual tickets. The tool automatically finds the best option so you do not have to do the math yourself.
