Text Template Placeholder Filler
Substitute {{name}}-style placeholders in a template using key=value lines or a JSON object.
Fill Mustache-style templates from key/value data
Email bodies, CLI messages, and config snippets often use placeholders such as
{{name}} or {orderId}. Paste the template, supply values as
key=value lines or a JSON object, and get the merged text instantly, ideal
for onboarding copy tests and fixture generation.
Value formats
- Lines mode: one mapping per row, separated by
=or:. - JSON mode: a single object whose keys match placeholder names.
Enable strict mode to leave unknown placeholders untouched instead of clearing them. For generating slugs from names, see Slug Generator. For bulk find-and-replace without placeholders, use Find and Replace Text.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which placeholder syntax is supported?
Both double-brace {{key}} and single-brace {key} forms.
Whitespace inside the braces is trimmed.
Can values contain equals signs?
In line mode, only the first = or : splits key and
value; the remainder of the line becomes the value, so embedded equals signs are
allowed.
Is this a full templating engine?
No loops or conditionals, only straightforward placeholder substitution. That keeps the tool predictable for quick copy tests.
