SQL Mock Data Generator
Parse CREATE TABLE statements and generate realistic INSERT rows or CSV/JSON test data entirely in the browser.
Generate mock rows from a SQL CREATE TABLE statement
Seed scripts and integration tests need realistic sample rows. Paste a
CREATE TABLE definition and this tool infers column names and types, then fabricates
values using simple heuristics (emails for email columns, incrementing integers for
id, and so on). Output as SQL INSERT statements, JSON, or CSV. Parsing and
generation stay in your browser; no database connection is opened.
How to use this tool
- Paste a CREATE TABLE statement with one column per line.
- Set how many rows you need (up to 500 per run).
- Choose INSERT, JSON, or CSV output and copy the result into your migration or test fixture.
For querying uploaded CSV or JSON with SQL, try the SQL Sandbox. To build INSERT statements from spreadsheet data, use the CSV to SQL Converter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which SQL dialects are supported?
The parser targets common CREATE TABLE syntax with inline types and ignores PRIMARY KEY, FOREIGN KEY, and INDEX clauses. Exotic vendor extensions may need manual cleanup.
Are values truly random?
Values follow deterministic patterns based on row index and column name hints. They are meant for fixtures, not production-like anonymization.
Can I generate more than 500 rows?
This UI caps at 500 rows per run to keep the browser responsive. Run multiple batches or export CSV and append offline for larger sets.
