Keep or drop JSON Lines records using dot-path field filters, comparisons, and regex matches in the browser.

Filter JSON Lines by field values

NDJSON (newline-delimited JSON) stores one JSON object per line, common for logs, streaming ETL, and database exports. This filter keeps or removes lines based on a dot-path field such as user.id or metrics.latency_ms, using equals, contains, numeric comparisons, regex, or existence checks.

Typical workflows

  1. Drop failed API responses where status equals error.
  2. Keep only rows with score greater than a threshold.
  3. Remove lines missing a required nested key before loading into a warehouse.

Pair with JSONL Validator, JSONL Dedupe, and NDJSON to CSV.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do nested paths work?

Use dot notation (order.customer.email). Array indexes are numeric segments (items.0.sku).

What happens to invalid JSON lines?

Malformed lines are reported and excluded from the kept output.

Is data uploaded?

No. Filtering happens client-side in your browser.
