JWT to Fetch

Build copy-ready fetch() calls that send a Bearer JWT with configurable method, URL, and body.

O M T

Build JavaScript fetch() calls that send a Bearer JWT

OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect clients receive access tokens as JSON Web Tokens. When debugging an API from the browser console or a Node script, you need a fetch call with an Authorization: Bearer header, the correct HTTP method, and optional JSON body. Paste your token, URL, and payload here to get a ready-to-run snippet with error handling stubs.

What the snippet includes

  1. Authorization header with your JWT (template literal safe escaping).
  2. Accept: application/json for typical REST APIs.
  3. Optional credentials: "include" when cookies must ride along.
  4. Response parsing as JSON or plain text, plus a status check that throws on non-OK responses.

Decode claims or verify signatures first with the JWT Decoder & Verifier and JWT Claims Validator. For RSA-signed tokens, use JWT Builder RSA ES.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my token stored anywhere?

No. Snippet generation happens locally in your browser; tokens are not logged or transmitted.

Can I generate POST bodies?

Yes. Choose POST, PUT, PATCH, or DELETE and provide valid JSON. The snippet uses JSON.stringify on that object.

Does this refresh expired tokens?

No. It only formats a single request. Use your identity provider's refresh flow for renewal.
