Query JSON with JMESPath

JMESPath is a query language for JSON used in AWS CLI, Azure Resource Graph, and many configuration pipelines. Paste a document, write a filter or projection expression, and inspect the extracted nodes without leaving the browser.

For JSONPath-style queries, try the JSONPath Tester. To reshape documents before querying, use the JSON Flatten Array tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is every JMESPath function supported?

This tool runs the standard jmespath library in your browser. Common filters, projections, and multi-select expressions work; exotic extensions from other vendors may differ.

Why do string literals use backticks?

JMESPath uses backtick-quoted strings inside expressions, for example users[?role==`admin`].email, so you can keep double quotes free for JSON keys.
