How to Read a Dot Plot

Each column of dots represents one unique value. Taller stacks mean higher frequency. Gaps between stacks show values with no observations. If the mean exceeds the median, the distribution is right-skewed; if the median exceeds the mean, it is left-skewed.

When to Use Dot Plots
