What Is a 6 Month Calculator?

A 6 month calculator adds or subtracts exactly six calendar months from any start date. Unlike a fixed day count, calendar months respect month lengths and handle end-of-month rollover—for example, January 31 plus six months becomes July 31, while August 31 plus six months becomes February 28 or 29.

How to Use It

1. Enter your start date.
2. Choose to add or subtract six months.
3. Optionally include the start date in the count.

Example

Starting January 31, 2024 and adding six months gives July 31, 2024. Starting August 31, 2024 and adding six months gives February 28, 2025 because February has fewer days.
