Tool Chainer
Build multi-step text pipelines with encoding, hashing, formatting, and find-replace processors entirely in your browser.
Chain text transformations into reusable pipelines
The Tool Chainer runs a sequence of text processors on your input: each step feeds the next, with live output after every stage. Encode or decode Base64, URL-encode strings, change case, prettify JSON, sort lines, find-and-replace, hash with SHA-256, and more, without leaving the browser. Pipelines update in real time as you edit text or reorder steps, and failed steps halt the chain with a clear error message.
Typical workflows
- Normalize log lines: trim → lowercase → unique lines.
- Prepare API payloads: JSON prettify → Base64 encode → SHA-256 hash.
- Clean exports: find/replace → sort lines → add prefix per line.
For single-step tasks, use dedicated tools such as the Base64 Encoder/Decoder or Checksum Calculator. For comparing two strings, try Compare Two Strings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many steps can I add?
There is no hard limit, but very long chains on huge inputs may feel slower because every step recomputes on each keystroke. Split large files across smaller chunks if needed.
What happens when JSON prettify receives invalid JSON?
The chain stops at that step and shows the parser error. Fix the input or remove the JSON step to continue.
Is text sent to a server?
No. All processors run in JavaScript in your browser, including SHA-256 via the Web Crypto API.
Can I save a pipeline for later?
This version focuses on live editing. Copy the final output or keep the tab open; export/import of pipeline JSON may be added in future updates.
