Saudi Salary Calculator
Estimate net pay after Saudi GOSI for legacy, new-law, and expatriate employees from basic salary and allowances.
Saudi GOSI on basic salary plus housing
Net pay is gross pay minus the employee GOSI deduction. Gross pay adds basic salary, housing, transportation, and other allowances. The contribution base is basic salary plus housing only. Transportation and other allowances are paid, but they are not part of the GOSI base. Amounts on this page use a dollar sign so the percentages are easy to read. Enter the same wage figures you would use for the riyal amounts.
Rates used here
Saudi contributors registered before 3 July 2024 use the legacy split: 9.75% employee and 11.75% employer. Saudi contributors on the new law use the July 2026 step: 10.75% employee and 12.75% employer. Expatriates are covered only for occupational hazards, paid by the employer at 2%, with no employee deduction.
The contribution base is capped, and a floor applies when basic salary plus housing is above zero but below the minimum:
\[ B = \min(\max(S + H, F), 45000) \] \[ D = r \times B \]The Saudi floor is 1,500 and the expatriate floor is 400. The cap is 45,000 for every scheme. Employer GOSI is shown for offer costing and is not subtracted from net pay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which scheme should a Saudi employee use?
Use the legacy rate if GOSI registration started before 3 July 2024. Use the new-law rate for contributors who joined on or after that date. The new-law employee rate shown here is the July 2026 step, 10.75%.
Do expatriates pay GOSI from their salary?
No. The employer pays 2% of the contribution base for occupational hazards. Employee deduction is zero, so net pay equals gross pay in this calculator.
Is housing included in the GOSI base?
Yes. Basic salary plus housing is the base. Transportation and other allowances are excluded from the base and still count in gross pay.
What happens above 45,000?
The contribution base stops at 45,000. Extra basic salary or housing still increases gross pay, but it does not increase the GOSI deduction.
Why can net pay be lower than gross by more than the wage?
If basic salary plus housing is above zero but under the floor, the deduction is calculated on the floor. A very small wage can then show a deduction larger than gross pay.
