What Is the Digital SAT Score Calculator?

The Digital SAT Score Calculator estimates your SAT score based on the number of correct answers you expect to have in each module of the Reading & Writing and Math sections. Since the Digital SAT is an adaptive test, the difficulty of Module 2 in each section depends on your performance in Module 1. Our calculator accounts for this adaptivity to provide a reasonable score estimate.

Simply enter the number of questions you answered correctly in each module, and the calculator will estimate your scaled scores for Reading & Writing (200-800), Math (200-800), and your total SAT score (400-1600).

How the Digital SAT Scoring Works

The Digital SAT is divided into two sections: Reading & Writing (64 minutes, 54 questions) and Math (70 minutes, 44 questions). Each section has two modules. Module 2 adapts based on your Module 1 performance:

• Strong performance in Module 1 unlocks the harder Module 2, where each correct answer earns more toward your scaled score.
• Weaker performance in Module 1 results in an easier Module 2, but the maximum achievable score is lower.

There is no penalty for wrong answers, so guessing is always better than leaving a question blank.

How the Score Estimate Is Calculated

Our calculator uses an adaptive scoring model that mirrors the Digital SAT structure. The formula adjusts your effective raw score based on Module 1 performance and applies a non-linear scaling curve to map it to the 200-800 range per section:

If Module 1 performance is strong (above approximately 70% correct), a bonus is applied to reflect the harder Module 2 path. If Module 1 performance is weak (below approximately 40% correct), a penalty reflects the easier path. The adjusted raw score is then mapped to the 200-800 scale.
