Link Header Builder
Compose RFC 8288 Link headers with relations, anchors, and target attributes for APIs and pagination.
Compose HTTP Link headers for hypermedia APIs
REST and JSON APIs often advertise pagination and related resources with an HTTP
Link header defined in
RFC 8288.
Each link bundles a URI reference, a relation type (rel), and optional parameters such as
type or title. This builder formats multiple links into one header value you
can paste into curl, API gateways, or integration tests.
Common relation types
next/prev, cursor or page-based pagination.alternate, another representation (PDF, alternate locale).describedby, documentation or schema describing the resource.
Pair this with the HTTP Message Parser to inspect raw responses, or build Authorization headers using the Bearer Auth Header Builder.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are angle brackets required around URIs?
Yes for HTTP header fields. The tool wraps each target URI in <...> per RFC 8288 syntax.
Can I add more than one link?
Yes. Multiple link-values are comma-separated in a single Link header line.
Does this set Link headers on my server?
No. It only generates the header text. Configure your framework or proxy to emit the value on responses.
