JSON to HTML Form

Turn JSON objects into labeled HTML form fields with types inferred from each value.

O M T

Generate HTML forms from sample JSON

API mocks, admin prototypes, and integration tests often start from a JSON object that describes user fields. This generator walks each key, infers an HTML input type from the value (checkbox for booleans, number for integers, email or url when patterns match), and emits a <form> block you can paste into static HTML or a CMS template.

Supported JSON shapes

  • Flat objects with string, number, and boolean values.
  • Nested objects using dotted field names (for example profile.website).
  • Arrays of scalars rendered as comma-separated text inputs; arrays of objects use indexed names.

Need tabular output instead of inputs? Try the JSON to HTML Table Converter. To turn the same object into query parameters, use JSON to Query String.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why must the root be a JSON object?

HTML forms map keys to input names. A root array or string has no stable field list, so the tool asks for an object.

Are names sanitized for HTML?

Special characters in keys are escaped in labels and attributes so the markup stays well formed.

Is this a JSON Schema form builder?

No. Types are inferred from example values only. For schema-driven forms, start from a schema validator or OpenAPI document instead.
