Natural Gas Unit Converter

The Natural Gas Converter converts between common natural gas volume and energy units used by utilities, pipelines, and energy traders. Volume units include cubic feet (ft³), cubic meters (m³), MCF, CCF, and US gallons. Energy units include BTU, therms, MMBTU, joules, and barrels of oil equivalent (BOE). Volume Conversions (ft³ Base)

Natural gas volume is often measured in cubic feet. Common relationships:

$$1\,\text{CCF} = 100\,\text{ft}^3$$

Energy Conversions (BTU Base)

Natural gas energy content is commonly expressed in British Thermal Units (BTU):

$$1\,\text{therm} = 100{,}000\,\text{BTU}$$

$$1\,\text{MMBTU} = 1{,}000{,}000\,\text{BTU}$$

$$1\,\text{BTU} \approx 1{,}055.06\,\text{J}$$

$$1\,\text{BOE} \approx 5.8 \times 10^6\,\text{BTU}$$
